Te Purutōke - BULLDOGThe oldest pool in the complex. The water growls as it pushes through the rocks and is one of the hottest pools, known for easing joint and muscle pain, a great pool for finishing in.

Te Pēpi – BabyThis pool changes colour often and continues to be used for healing and cleansing. Babies were traditionally bathed here, and it remains a gentle, nurturing pool linked to wellbeing and renewal.

TANE MAHUTANamed after our atua who separated Ranginui and Papatūānuku. It is known for soothing burns and calming the skin.

Te Rata - DOCTOROne of the largest and most popular pools, known for its powerful healing properties. The water soothes joints, muscles, and skin conditions.

tE kOTAHITANGAThis pool was dug and named after kaimahi from the Kotahitanga Trust. It shares similar minerals to the Bulldog and is valued for its warmth and therapeutic qualities.

Te Pai - FAVOURITEA favourite among visitors for its soothing nature. This pool is ideal for relaxation and reflection and aiding with chest congestion, continuing its long history of comfort and healing.

mOKOPUNANamed during the recent upgrade. Its warmth and gentle energy continue to nurture both body and spirit.

WAIKATODug by the Fenton whānau from Waikato, this pool honours the connection between Ngāpuhi and Waikato. Its bubbling waters massage and relax the body, helping release tension and stress.

Horomona - SOLOMONNamed after the prophet Solomon, this pool is recognised for its strong healing waters that treat skin conditions, cuts, and bites.

Waimaene - VELVET Known for the smooth, silky feel of its water. The pool’s softness is said to calm the body and ease tension, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and the mind relaxed.

KareAriki - cINDERELLANamed after Kareariki, our tupuna who discovered our springs. This pool is recognised for easing joint and muscle pain, helping restore balance and movement.

Te NgāWhā - sULPHUR wAYOne of the cooler pools, with a temperature around 22–26°C. The distinct sulphur scent and mineral content aid circulation and recovery, supporting hydrotherapy and revitalising the skin.
